Happy to say I can now share my aerial showreel for 2021! 😆 2020 was a tough year for us all, especially those in small businesses and those who are self-employed. Despite the ongoing restrictions here in the UK I was lucky enough to work with some amazing companies and a variety of different projects throughout the year. I am looking forward to what this year brings! 😊

Wreck of Juniata, an old abandoned ship at Inganess Bay on the mainland of Orkney 🛳 Flying around this shipwreck took some coordination with the local airport in order to capture a full 360 of the wreckage. A special thanks to the people at Kirkwall airport and DJI themselves for allowing me to film this shipwreck 😄🚁

Those who guessed Mam Tor would have been correct...I wonder what gave it away? 😅 Once you reach the top of Mam Tor you are greeted with stunning panoramic views over Edale, Hope Valley and even Kinder Scout ⛰

First post of 2021! I’m still looking back at my amazing trip in the Peak District for @wyvernwalkingtours, this shot is from their Ladybower Reservoir route and it is lovely! You walk along both the Derwent Reservoir and of course the Ladybower Reservoir as well as hilltops and woodland 🏞 I’m looking forward to going back there and exploring more of the routes they have been working on! Stanage Edge was the first route I did back in August and it was HOT! The weather wasn’t exactly on my side with the mist, haze and heat but it was a beautiful walk nonetheless ☺️

Stirling Old Bridge built in the late 1400s/early 1500s 🏞 • Today the bridge remains one of best medieval masonry arch bridges in Scotland😄

McCaig’s Tower, also known as McCaig’s Folly in Oban, Scotland! 🏰 • This magnificent structure was built in 1897 and was to provide work for local stonemasons and a lasting monument to the McCaig family. The monument overlooks the town of Oban in Argyll and can be seen for miles around the town! 😊

St. Peter’s Seminary near Cardross, Argyll and Bute 🏰 • This is a disused Roman Catholic seminary that was left to ruin since 1987.

Kilchurn Castle in Argyll and Bute! 🏰 • This castle sits on a rocky peninsula at the the Northeastern end of Loch Awe. A heavily photographed and popular castle in Scotland and was great to explore. During certain times of the year highland cows share the location with the castle, sadly I didn’t manage to see any of them, they would have looked great in front of the castle! 🐂

Stirling Castle in Stirling! 🏰 • This castle sits atop Castle Hill, and is one of Scotland’s largest and most important castles both historically and architecturally!😄

Castle Stalker in Argyll! 🏰 • This castle is situated on a tidal islet on Loch Laich, midway between Oban and Glen Coe. You can take a boat across in order to visit and tour the castle, definitely something I want to do when I next visit 😄

Everyone’s favourite castle from the series, Dalquharran Castle in Ayrshire! 🏰 • Sadly not the best video of this amazing castle as it was a very windy day. You can see some shakiness from the drone but I still wanted to try and capture something while I was there 😊

Lennox Castle Hospital in Lennoxtown. • This castle sits on top of a small hill with a beautiful woodland area to walk through in order to reach the castle! 🏰😄

This was a great castle to visit and had some stunning scenery around it once up in the air. It is truly nestled in the middle of nowhere and doesn’t reveal itself until you’re next to it! A great find if you know where to look! 🏰

As we are all having to spend more time at home I’ve finally had the time to put together a few videos from the footage I found a while ago. • I miss being able to travel to explore some of my favourite locations so I’ve made a short video of Cambusnethan House/Priory from the footage I captured the last time I visited. Everyone loved the mini castle series I did last year so I am trying to show the other perspectives I caught while exploring this building! 🏰

I missed a post last week as I was working on lots of projects and plans for the next few months. I’m in the middle of revamping my website as well so keep an eye out for that! For now though I’m so happy I can now finally share with you my 2020 aerial showreel. I worked on some great projects last year and looking forward to many more this year 😄 I hope you enjoy it!

The Old Man of Hoy is a 449ft high sea stack on Hoy. This is a popular site for many people to hike to and take pictures of, but also a popular site for many experienced climbers.🧗🏼‍♀️ • I’ve been to Hoy a number of times and was surprised when I saw I hadn’t posted any pictures of the Old Man before 😊

Hole o’ Row on the South side of Bay of Skaill! There’s not really much information about this other than it’s an arch 😄 • I’ve been busy clearing and tidying a bunch of old hard drives and managed to find a collection of pictures to edit which will slowly be uploaded in the next few weeks 😊 It’s crazy the amount of space you need to be able to store years worth of pictures and videos, I always run out of space and have to go back through and organise them 😅

Falls of Falloch, situated in the north part of Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park! • A short walk through a woodland path to see this stunning waterfall, it is always so peaceful and majestic to sit and take pictures of waterfalls! 😊

A small part of the Rhiwargor Waterfall at Lake Vyrnwy. I camped nearby the night before and visited the waterfall the next morning. A beautiful little walk to see a magnificent waterfall! 🏞 • Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a good picture of the main waterfall itself so I’ve opted to post a small part of it instead 😊

Fairy Glen, a beautiful gorge in Betws-y-Coed in Snowdonia National Park 🏔 • I took a quick short trip to Wales back in October last year, wish I had more time to do the full camping trip I planned. Planning on going back again and finishing the trip, this time with lots more photos I hope! 😄

Black Linn Falls at The Hermitage in Dunkeld. This waterfall is best viewed from Ossian’s Hall, deep within the Douglas Fir forest. A peaceful get away whilst listening to the roaring falls below! • I have loved being able to explore long exposure photography and something I have really enjoyed doing. A few more long exposure shots to come but lots more practising as well 😊

With the New Year in full swing here is one last panorama...for now, this time looking over Loch Awe and between Ben Cruachan and Ben Loi. • I decided to take a small break during the Christmas period and rethink my instagram, I am aiming to be a lot more consistent, to do that I will start to post some of my ground based photography along side the aerial work I do. It will just consist of more landscapes, long exposure waterfalls and potentially some wildlife. The weather in the UK is very temperamental which makes drone flying days far and few so sharing my ground photography will help stay consistent and give me an excuse to go out and explore new places! 😄

I had a great time going back to Scotland again, this time we visited Argyll and Bute, somewhere we’ve never been to before. This place has lots of amazing little Lochs all over so I had to try and capture one in all its glory with a panorama! 😄 • Panoramas don’t come out great on Instagram so I’ve added the full image in 2 seamless parts! 😊 I took a lot of different panoramas on this trip so I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Kirkwall harbour at sunset, not the most amazing sunset due to it being quite overcast but it is still a stunning scenery 😊 • Originally I was planning on filming a hyperlapse of a cruise ship coming into the harbour but got the dates wrong, so I decided to just take some pictures of the sunset anyway 🌅

Waulkmill bay in the southwest of mainland Orkney. When the tide is out this bay can stretch for miles and a great place for a long sandy walk. • Though this picture was taken a while ago, I have just recently come back from a trip to Scotland so expect more stunning landscapes and architecture soon 😊

Better late than never...my version I captured of the Didcot Power Station Demolition. 😊 • The first half of the video I captured a week prior to the demolition to capture some footage of the cooling towers and also to scout for a good location to watch the demolition. Not the best shot of the demolition in my opinion, was a very early wake up call, with some low light issues paired with the sun trying to come through the clouds, plus I almost missed it entirely without knowing the exact time the demolition was taking place 😅 But it’s all a learning experience, rather than capturing exactly what I wanted I like to think that I’ve learnt from this experience and would be better prepared if I did something like this again 😊

Some stills of the demolition of Didcot Power Station B last weekend. • After a very early morning start to capture the demolition of the power station I managed to get some footage to share with everyone. With no knowledge of when exactly they would be blowing up the power station, just a wide time frame between 6am-9am, I am just glad I managed to capture some footage. Not the best footage in my eyes but there is always room for improvement 😊

Didcot Power Station B, set to be demolished on 18th August 2019. • Didcot power station A was demolished in February 2014 at 5:01am. Thousands of people turned up to watch the demolition and also watched via a live stream. • I’m hoping the weather will be kind over the weekend so I can go out and film the demolition. Unfortunately I missed the demolition in 2014 but hopefully can get some footage of it this year! 😄

Another spherical panoramic shot, this time I captured the Churchill barriers on the Orkney mainland. • I’m running out of drone pictures to post hence why I haven’t posted in a while. Summer has been crazy busy this year with no time to go out and explore with the drones. I am in the middle of planning a long weekend camping trip to Wales to explore castles and the beautiful country! If anyone has any recommendations for places to visit in Wales I would love to try and add them into my trip! 😊

Not something I normally post but I’ve been experimenting and loving these quirky features on the drone! The infinite bridge ‘Den Uendelige Bro’ in Aarhus. • This bridge was created by architects Niels Povlsgaard and Johan Gjødes and only comes out during certain months of the year, I was lucky enough to visit while the bridge was still there 😄

Looking across the cliffs near Thagaards Plantage in Thisted ⛰ • The plantage was created to help prevent the drifting sand dunes from going further inland.

Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse, situated amongst sand dunes on the coast of the North Sea in Rubjerg. • The lighthouse was abandoned in 2002 due to coastal erosion and continually shifting sands. 200ft above sea level on the top of Lønstrup Klint (cliff) the lighthouse is expected to crash into the ocean within the next few years 😢

The forgotten giants in Copenhagen! These giants were built by a local artist to encourage more people to get out and enjoy nature, a great way to explore suburbia Copenhagen 😊 • During our trip to Denmark we only managed to find 2 of the six giants, definitely need to go back and find the rest! First we have ‘Little Tilde’ and second we have ‘Thomas on the Mountain’ 😄

Men by the sea, these 9 metre tall sculptures are located west of Esbjerg in Denmark. The name of them has a few slight variations; men at sea, man meets sea or men by the sea, all translated slightly differently from the original Danish ‘Mennesket ved Havet’ ☺️ • Apologies for no post last week, if you haven’t been watching my stories I’ve been away in Denmark for a week. It was so nice to get away for a bit and just enjoy being in another country, Denmark was beautiful and I’m glad I got to visit 😄 My next round of posts will be from my travels in Denmark so keep a look out 😋

The Kelpies in Falkirk, these 30-metre-high horse head sculptures depict kelpies which are shape-shifting water spirits.🐴🌊

Loudoun castle, an old abandoned theme park in Ayrshire which closed down in 2010. • I wasn’t going to post this picture as this is the only angle I managed to get of the castle, but you guys loved this series so much I had to try and give you one more! 😋

Dalquharran Castle in Ayrshire, this building has been left empty and bare. The floors have since collapsed but you can still climb some stairs to see the next levels! • Unfortunately this is my last post in the mini castle series...for now 😋 I’m in the middle of planning a mini trip to go visit some more castles so hopefully it won’t be long before I upload more abandoned places 😄🏰

Lennox castle hospital in Lennoxtown. This old abandoned castle used to be used as a psychiatric hospital which was shut down in 2002 due to the neglect and mistreatment of former patients. • I’m loving all the responses from this series, here’s another one for you! Dunalastair castle in Pitlochry. One of the larger castles I visited with lots of spires along the edges! • Next upload for the mini castle series. Cambusnethan house/priory in Wishaw. I love being able to explore old abandoned castles, trying to imagine what it used to look like in all its glory! • Going to be doing a mini castle series! During my route to Orkney and back I stopped off at a few different castles that I haven't been to before. Stay tuned to see which ones I went to 😆🏰

Yesnaby Castle, a sea stack on the West coast of Orkney Mainland. The stack is sometimes described as a smaller version of the Old Man of Hoy. • Been a very busy week since getting back from my trip, finally had lots of good things happening which will hopefully lead on to some great stuff! 😄

The famous Harry Potter Train traveling over the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland! 🚂 • It's amazing being able to capture these sorts of shots and angles with a drone. Another great example of having the Mavic 2 Zoom, light weight to carry to the location but also being able to get closer to the action without causing any accidents! 😄 Fly Safe! 🚁

The Kelpie's in Falkirk, these horse-head sculptures stand at 30-metres-high next to the Forth and Clyde Canal. • Major advantages of the Mavic 2 zoom...you can get a lot closer to your subject without compromising your safe distances from surrounding hazards! 😆 • Always fly safely and stick with the advised distances in place! 🚁

First post of 2019! Started later than I wanted but this year hasn't gone off with a good start, I'll save you the boring details so I thought I'd post something a little different instead... • As my final dissertation/project at University I made a short film focused around a single female character surviving in a post-apocolyptic world. As a woman in the film industry and among 4 female directors within my University course I wanted to make something based around a single female character. • It was such a long but fun process creating a short film, from spending my summer scouting all the locations to working in the evenings creating the props. • I would love to read your comments and reviews so please do check out the video, link in my bio 🎬

The Whale bone at Birsay, a popular location to visit, especially during the windier days where you can see the waves crashing against the cliff edge.
